Water/ Fire hydrant Flushing

Starting April 10th, 2024 the Smackover Volunteer Fire Department will be doing water line flushes the second Wednesdays of each month to keep our water lines clean from minerals and sediments, no need to boil, naturally in water, just gets stirred up when the lines are flushed. There will be unattened water/fire hydrants as well when we are doing this so no need to call. When lines are being flushed please go outside to a water faucet and run water until clear to keep brown water from going into your residence, especially your water heater and washers as the City is NOT responsible and will not cover damages to property.
